Luke is currently working with local filmakers
Robin Whithead and Andy Nocter of "Longstone Films" . The aim is to
produce a short piece featuring the award winning track "One More Bar" and
the title track "I Aint Got No Hat" from the tripple Nomminated album "No
Hat" plus a new track which will be included on the next album which it is
hoped will be complete by the end of this year. Plus much much more as yet
unseen footage. The film will be primarily a promotional tool, but it is
hoped that it may also be presented as a double package with the new album
There are videos of Luke playing three tracks

Luke has two tracks off the "No Hat" album in
the top 200 play list in European C.M.A playlist. The tracks are "No Hat"
and "Everybody's Different" which is at No12 after being released with
Col; Buster Doss on Stardust Records compilation C.D. - Thank you for your

Luke Guy
Reed has won the award for
Best single track of 2003 at the UK COUNTRY RADIO AWARDS sponsored by
Southern Country magazine.

distributed to retail in the UK / Ireland by NOVA/Pinnacle, Telesales

Luke was the only person to gain nominations in THREE categories for
the 2003 UK Country Radio Awards
1. Best Album : NO HAT (Solent Records SLTD 117)
2. Best original song: ONE MORE BAR from the NO HAT album
3. Best single track: ONE MORE BAR
The NO HAT album was released by UK label Solent Records with National
+ Ireland Distribution by NOVA/Pinnacle in June 2003. It was supported
by display advertising in all the main Country magazines in the
attempt to break the mould of British Country music being just a
gig-sales level activity. The CD is unusual for a British Country
album in that 10 out of the 12 tracks are originals, written or
co-written by Luke.
The reaction to the album and all the tracks individually promoted via
Stuart Cameron's Hot Disc compilations, over the year has been
fantastic, not only in the UK but right across Europe. Reaction sheets
received back show 80% of DJ's rating Luke's work very good to
excellent and reporting wide spread and continuing airplay. Two songs
from the album ONE MORE BAR and I AIN'T GOT NO HAT reached the top 5
of the prestigious EMS DJ Chart during the year with another track
making the Top 30.
If you are one of those who has seen Luke perform live you will know
that the quality of the album is carried through to the stage, whether
Luke is singing with backing tracks in a small club or in full band
mode such as at last year's Radio Awards ceremony.
This is a partnership effort between Luke and John Waterman , owner of
Solent Records. In this, Luke shows that not only is he a great writer
and performer but also has the professional attitude and tenacity to
succeed and break out to the next level.
Luke's track Everybody's Different, again from the NO HAT album, has
just been distributed to DJ's across the world including extensively
in the US and AUSTRALIA. This time Colonel Buster Doss's Stardust
Compilation will be the vehicle.
Luke has been rewarded so far with great reviews and support from the
Country print and local radio media and hope that these nominations
and the award will gain the attention of the national media channels
which is so important to establishing real credibility with the
mainstream audience. This would help translate the widespread respect
for Luke's work into sales at retail stores which is the only thing at
the end of the day the industry and media take notice of. We have the
infrastructure in place, Luke just needs that greater profile to grow
into another British Country star.
"Luke" has just started laying down the
first track of another new album in D.H Studio. Once again there will be a
collection of self penned songs. Fellow songwriter Graham Walker will be
working with Luke adding a couple of co-written songs. Luke also plans to
add some other interesting players to the project . So watch this space
and we will keep you informed.
The "Hot Disc" will be releasing another track
"As Good For Me As You" from "Luke's" "No Hat" album in November ! So,
